This Quilt of Valor was my first QoV.  It was requested by my sons - one of whom is in the Air Force, the other of whom is a junior in college.  The pattern is on Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorials under Star Spangled Bandanna (which is also the name of the fabric line). It was requested for a man, a Viet Nam Vet who became a part of our extended family while we were working overseas. It was pieced and bound by me.  Lois did the long arm quilting.  The Guild saw it at the March meeting where I turned in my paperwork and received a QoV lable for it.  My sons presented in in late March. The recipient was touched, not just by the quilt, but by the effort two young people went to thank him.

Enclosed in the presentation case (pillow case) was a "journal" describing how to care for the quilt and a little information about how this quit was made - the presentation case and the journal can be seen in the first couple of photos.  Susan K. Henry
